Civil War camp
set for June 22-24
Groups of reenactors will create a Civil War camp at the Robert Fulton Birthplace and Garden. This year's event will add battlefield reenactions. The living history camp will be on the upper lawn and the military camp will be on the lower lawn. Setup will begin Thursday afternoon and be completed on Friday. The camps will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Food vendors will be on site Saturday and Sunday.
Dial gauge testing
at Good's on June 23
The Penn State Extension Service will offer free pressure canning dial gauge testing at Good's Store, W. 4th St., Quarryville, from 10 a.m. to noon. Only the lid is needed for testing. New and old gauges should be tested. Weighted gauges do not need to be tested as they cannot go out of calibration.
Vacation Bible School
to be held June 24-28
Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Rd., will host a Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. daily. There will be classes for ages two through adult. There will be Bible stories, songs, games, crafts, and snacks. Please register on the church's website.

The Southern End Community Association will host Bingo at the SECA Building, 299 Park Ave., Quarryville. Doors open at 6 p.m.; games begin at 7 p.m.

Union Presbyterian Church 5637 Street Rd., Kirkwood, will host an organ recital featuring the church's restored 1930 pipe organ. Organist Bob Trimble will play a mix of patriotic, pop, and classical music. There will also be show tunes and a sing along. Veterans will be honored and are asked to attend. Admission is free; the public is invited to attend.
Vacation Bible School
to be held July 5-12
Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Rd., will host Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. The school is for ages three through fifth grade. 5 to 8 p.m., Page to Screen Book Club. Participants will read Wonder by R.J. Palacio and watching the film inspired by the book. 1 to 4:30 p.m., Teen Dungeons & Dragons Club. The club is for ages 12 and older.
The Friends of the Quarryville Library will hold their monthly used book sale at the library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26.
