The 22nd annual Willow Street Lions Club golf outing will be held at Tanglewood Golf Club, Scotland Rd. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Registration is $80 per golfer. The club helps fund international and local non-profits, including scouts, the local food bank, and medical equipment for people in need.

The next art show at the Quarryville Library, 357 Buck Rd., will open with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. The show will feature the work of William C. Ressler, a noted painter and county native. Refreshments will be served; the reception is open to the public.

Bake, book sale
to be held Sept. 30
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Pilottown Rd., Peach Bottom, will hold a soup, bake, and book sale from 9 a.m. to noon. Homemade soup will be sold by the quart and most baked goods will be sold in vintage dishes. Books and puzzles will be sold at bargain prices. Proceeds will go to help Texas victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The 32nd annual Boehm's Chapel Apple Festival will be held at the campus, 13 W. Boehm's Rd., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music by Jay Eddie and His Cowgirls. Crafts and food will be available for sale. The chapel will be open for tours.
trip to D.C.
The Vietnam Veterans of America and Associates Chapter 1008, Lancaster, will host a bus trip to Washington, D.C., on November 11. The bus will leave the Executive Coach parking lot, 525 Beaver Valley Pike, Willow Street, at 7 a.m. The trip includes the ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and two hours of free time. 123 … Play with Me. A parent-child workshop for parents of children age birth through three, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. For children with a caregiver.

Teen Leadership Group will meet at 5 p.m. The group is for ages 13 to 18 who will help plan and lead library activities.
Teen Art Showcase Reception featuring showcase winners will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event is for ages five and older.
