Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Louise & Alvin Shenk (stepfather) who raised her; and the late Charles & Ruth Jacobs (stepmother).
Ann was a graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School, class of 1961. For many years she cared for her family and home as a homemaker. After her children were grown, Ann was employed by Amish Farm & House as a tour guide and seamstress, retiring in 2005 with 20 years’ service.
Ann had a talent for sewing, creating prom dresses, wedding gowns, and dolls over the years. She was also very creative with craft projects and made mini Christmas Trees and ornaments. In her spare time Ann enjoyed scrapbooking her family genealogical research. In her younger years Ann enjoyed canning and preserving fruits and vegetables. She also loved to plant flowers every year in the spring.
