Born in Fulton Township, he was the son of the late J. Paul and Estella (Hagen) Douglas.
Ralph was employed in the automotive industry as a mechanic, service manager, and salesman, working for Douglas Garage, Ferguson Motors, Stoner-Wade Ford, and, most recently, Bledsoe’s Automotive and Hardware. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Sergeant, and earning the Korean Service Medal with 3 Campaign Stars and a United Nations Service Medal.
A skilled mechanic, Ralph was well known for rebuilding carburetors. In his spare time, he enjoyed puzzles, playing spider solitaire, and following the Eagles and Phillies. Ralph also had a love for animals, especially his cats, Clyde and Sissy.
