The Solanco field hockey team came home from Manheim on Friday, September 21, after suffering an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Central's team.
Central scored five goals in the first half and three in the second. In a game dominated by the Baronesses, the home team was awarded nine corner shots, the visiting Mules one.
The Elizabethtown Lady Bears visited the pasture on Wednesday, September 18, and the Mule field hockey team earned a hard fought 2-0 win on unassisted goals by Mariah Stoltzfus and Keirra Laird. Stoltzfus scored in the first half and Laird in the second. Corners were even with each team awarded six. Brandenberger was credited with four saves.
On Monday, September 17, the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers humbled the Mules with a 7-0 win, scoring three goals in the first half and four in the second. L-S was awarded nine corner shots, the Mules two. The dominating Pioneers took 28 shots on goal, the Mules three. Brandenberger was credited with 10 saves, while Kimmy Beachem stopped seven shots at goal. Solanco’s Emma Curtis was credited with a defensive save.
