It will continue to be a collection point for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots Christmas program, keeping a box for those donations in the showroom.
This year, the dealership will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Solanco Food Bank.
The food bank doesn't need that many boxes of Cheerioes, however. Instead, its volunteers are asking for an assortment of non-perishable items will help fill the shelves for regular clients and the Student Weekend Eating Plan.
The list includes boxed Jello and pudding, canned fruit, pancake mix and syrup, granola bars, boxed mac and cheese, stuffing mix, soup, applesauce cups, and other non-perishable items.
The new drive has a name.
"We're calling this fill a Ford," said Diana Wade. "We did a drive to collect food and treats for pets earlier this year and now we're doing it for the food bank."
Non-perishable food items and new toys can be brought to the showroom, W. 4th St., Quarryville, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays or from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The drive wraps up Monday, December 11.
To encourage donations, the dealership will give away 15 $20 gift cards to C.R. Lapp's restaurant in Quarryville.
"We'll pull some names once a week during the drive," Wade said. "We hope everyone has a lot of fun with this event."
