The annual Cecil County 4-H Achievement Night is set for March 7 at Walls Activity Hall in Fair Hill. Social time and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. with the awards program beginning at 7 p.m.
Clover awards will be presented to younger members. Those who completed projects and kept records will receive recognition. The 4-H All Stars Top juniors, intermediates, and seniors will be honored. Seniors will also share their essays.
Club Spirit Awards and the recipient of the Club of the Year will be named. Additionally, awards will be presented for volunteer years of service--from one year to 30 years. The 4-H Family of the Year will be named.
During Achievement Night, a communnity service project will be held. Donations will be collected for the Cecil County Help Center.
According to April Hall Barczewski, Extension Educator for Cecil County's 4-H Youth Development, there are 22 traditional and special interest 4-H Clubs in the county.
Outreach during the past year touched the lives of 2,550 youths.
