For the past five years, Dave Gilbert has been quietly working each fall to help Union Hospital's Breast Center.
Gilbert, owner of Pleasant Hill Store on Blue Ball Road, in partnership with the church next door, Pleasant Hill Worship Center, hosts a car show each year.
This year, the sixth annual show will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be food, fun, prizes.
Gilbert said that last year, about 65 cars and motorcycles turned out for the show. There are no rules for vehicles that are entered. "If it's got wheels, bring it. We've had tractors, motorcycles," said Gilbert.
There will also be raffles with proceeds helping the cause. The store will be also offering a special meal during the show. A hot dog, chips, and a canned soda can be purchased for $1.50. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.
