One of Port Deposit's historic hotspots needs a closer look.
The 75 Steps, which were built in the early 1900s to connect South Main Street to High Street, are in disrepair.
"People use those steps and they are in terrible shape. People take pictures of them all the time," said Port Deposit town administrator Vicky Rinkerman.
Now the structural integrity of the steps has to be evaluated. The steps will be a key connector if Bainbridge gets developed. There are trails leading from the stairs to Bainbridge. "Those steps are in bad shape," said Rinkerman.
