The crews from Cirillo Brothers, are making quick work of street repair and sidewalk projects in downtown Rising Sun.
The crew wrapped up sidewalk work on Cherry Street two weekends ago putting them a few steps closer to paving projects on several of the town streets.
"They won't pave until the concrete is done. And there is still concrete work to be done," said town administrator Calvin Bonenberger. He explained that by doing all the concrete first, and paving everything at the end of the project, is a cost saving measure. That means that paving equipment can be brought in all at once and the town won't pay to have it sitting idle.
Mount Street curbs and sidewalks were replaced from the intersection of Pearl Street to Pogue Avenue was completed. Curb and sidewalk was replaced. Work at the triangle intersection at Mount and Pearl streets was completed. ADA ramps and landscaping work was done.
