After a busy summer, Nicole Amos is headed back to college.
Amos, 23, of Elkton, worked two jobs this summer. She worked full time as a care giver/nursing assistant. She also toiled part time at Rising Sun's town hall. She was a paid intern, working 20-30 hours a week doing a variety of tasks.
At college, she has a dual major of political science and law in society.
"I got to see how the town runs. I got to see how much it takes for everything to go smoothly, things can interrupt (the process) and you need to figure out a solution," Amos said. "This really opened my eyes. It was cool to get lots of experience."
Amos attended Cecil College for two years. She is now back at Frostburg State University.
In the future, Amos plans to attend law school or work as a legal advisor to a political figure.
"I'm ready for a career. And this was a great step to it," she added.
