Elkton's Fall Fest will offer something new for its 22nd year - additional parking.
"We've changed it up," said Jessica Price, administrative assistant for the Elkton Chamber/ Alliance, which hosts the annual event.
This year, the area at Howard and Bow streets which used to be the site for the fest's Firefighter Combat Challenge and the children's area, will now be open for parking. The lot behind Minihane's will now be reserved for an expanded children's activities area.
Fall Fest is set for Saturday, September 15 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. There will be crafters, vendors, live entertainment, contests, and more in downtown Elkton. The children's area is open until 4 p.m. At least 40 vendors will be on site offering items for sale and demonstrations. The crafter, vendor, and artist area opens at 8 a.m.
Ventriloquist James Shipley performs beginning at 9 a.m. on the North Street stage. The Cub Scout Push Cart Derby begins at 9:15 a.m. on North Street. The Pretty Baby contest will begin at 10 a.m. Registration runs from 9-9:45. Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio students take the stage at 11 a.m. Bobby D and Jill Pill, drummers, mark their return to Elkton with a tribute show beginning at 12:30 p.m.
There is still time to register to compete in the Elkton Voice competition. As many as 20 singers can compete. That runs from 1-3 p.m. Plan B will begin their classic rock, country, and blues music show at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, September 14, the kick-off party will be held. The kick-off features a car show along North and Main streets. Flamin' Dick & The Hot Rods will provide the entertainment, oldies music. This event runs from 5-8 p.m.
