There are so many memories packed onto the porch of the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation's Elkton office.
This year, two trees stand on the porch bearing the names of those who are loved and missed by their friends and family.
The original tree now holds over 100 gold bows. The second tree holds white ribbons which have been placed by children. There are names and also tributes to simply "mom" "dad" "grandma" and "grandfather". One ribbon says "I love you as big as the sky."
"We've had a lot of new people come this year. It rained this year and we didn't have the outdoor program as we usually do," said Oldham.
There is still time to fill out a ribbon for either tree. People are welcome to stop by any day between now and the new year. "People have come by just to look at the trees," sad Oldham. "Doing this is a way to say 'I remember'."
